JUDr. Daniel Futej, CSc, Phd, LL.M.

Chairman of the Board at PPS Group, a.s. in Detva, one of the top three European companies in heavy engineering, specializing in the production of frames, chassis, and other welded structures. These components are primarily used in the assembly of industrial, mining, and forestry machinery and equipment. He is the architect of PPS Group’s successful strategy to shift from manufacturing frames and steel structures to assembling complete units with higher added value. Under his leadership, the company has defined a clear vision, mission, and set of values that shape its future direction.

For many years, he led his own law firm, specializing in venture capital, investment, finance, and tax law. Prior to that, he worked as a representative of the Chicago law firm Altheimer & Gray, after having served at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

He graduated from Comenius University in Bratislava and holds doctoral degrees from Martin Luther University in Germany and the University of Virginia School of Law in the United States. He has published dozens of expert articles focused on commercial and financial law. He speaks fluent English, German, Spanish, and Russian.

Industry

As Chairman of the Board at PPS Group, a company with more than a thousand employees, I fully understand the vital role that people and innovation play in every project. A company with a long-standing tradition, PPS Group has undergone significant changes in recent years, which are reflected in its strong economic results.

For decades, I have been providing legal services, particularly in the areas of commercial, financial, procedural, and labor law, as well as investment opportunities.

Consulting

As a consultant, especially in the field of acquisition advisory for foreign investors, I recognize how crucial foresight, prudence, and mutual trust are in business. Successfully guiding a client through the “terra incognita” of foreign environments, rules, and contexts requires extensive experience, deep knowledge, and respect.
